More Grade 2 times tables skills
Each one generates a different kind of question, with its own three levels and answer key.
- One Table at a TimeThe whole sheet drills a single table, named at the top — the fastest way to fix one gap.
- Mixed FactsFacts from several tables jumbled together, so every answer comes from memory.
- Counting in StepsCount on and back in equal steps — the pattern underneath every table.
- Fact CheckingDecide whether a fact is right, then compare two of them — spotting a wrong answer is its own skill.
Frequently asked questions
▸Which times tables should a Grade 2 child learn?
Most curricula start with the 2, 5 and 10 tables in Grade 2, because their patterns are the most audible and visible. Some programs add the 3s late in the year, but 2, 5 and 10 answered confidently in random order is a solid Grade 2 outcome.
▸How many questions should a Grade 2 times-table sheet have?
10 to 15. Use the question-count stepper to keep sheets short — at this age, daily five-minute practice builds far more recall than occasional long sessions.
▸Does the worksheet say which table it is practising?
On the One Table at a Time sheets, yes — the instruction line names it, for example Practice the 5 times table, so a child working independently always knows the focus. The other Grade 2 skills jumble the tables on purpose, and their instruction line says what to do instead.
▸Can I put my child's name on the worksheet?
Yes — type it in the name field and it prints at the top of the sheet. The name is used only to draw the PDF in your browser and never leaves your device.
▸Is this free, and do I need an account?
Completely free, no account and no sign-up. Generate as many sheets as you like, on A4 or US Letter, and print straight from the PDF.
