Grade 4 fact checking β the exact skill behind each difficulty setting, straight from the generator.
- Level 1True or false: the smaller facts
- Level 2True or false: the harder facts
- Level 3Which product is bigger?
Grade levels follow the progression common to most English-language curricula β not one specific national curriculum. Every level shows exactly what it generates, so you can check the fit with your own program. See the full scope & sequence β
More Grade 4 times tables skills
Each one generates a different kind of question, with its own three levels and answer key.
- Mixed FactsFacts from several tables jumbled together, so every answer comes from memory.
- One Table at a TimeThe whole sheet drills a single table, named at the top β the fastest way to fix one gap.
- Missing FactorThe answer is given and one factor is blank β the thinking behind sharing into groups.
- Three-Factor ChainsThree numbers multiplied in a row, so children learn to pick the friendly pair first.
- Tables and Multiples of TenStretch a known fact: if you know 6 Γ 4, you know 6 Γ 40 and 60 Γ 40.
Frequently asked questions
βΈShould Grade 4 students still practise times tables?
Yes β briefly and regularly. Most curricula assume fluency by Grade 4, but recall fades without use, and multi-digit multiplication and division punish slow facts. Two or three two-minute mixed drills a week is usually enough maintenance.
βΈWhat is a good times-table speed for Grade 4?
Around 20 mixed questions in two to three minutes with near-perfect accuracy is a solid benchmark. Timing the same length of sheet each week makes the trend easy to see.
βΈCan I repeat exactly the same drill later?
Yes. The link stores your exact worksheet β same questions, same order β so a retest two weeks later is genuinely comparable. Use Shuffle when you want a new set instead.
βΈWhat if one table is still shaky?
Open the One Table at a Time page and work it for a week. At Grade 4 it drills the 6, 7, 8 and 9 tables one at a time and names the table in the instruction line, so press Shuffle until it picks the one you need; its three levels then ask for that table three ways β recall, true or false, then missing factor. Go back to Mixed Facts to check the repair held.
βΈCan I make the sheet easier to read?
Yes β the easy-read font option prints the same questions in a clearer typeface with more forgiving spacing, which helps students who lose their place on dense pages. Works on both A4 and US Letter.
