What each level generates

Grade 5 capacity: milliliters and liters β€” the exact skill behind each difficulty setting, straight from the generator.

  1. Level 1Decimals to a smaller unit
  2. Level 2Whole units to decimals
  3. Level 3Both directions

Grade levels follow the progression common to most English-language curricula β€” not one specific national curriculum. Every level shows exactly what it generates, so you can check the fit with your own program. See the full scope & sequence β†’

Each one generates a different kind of question, with its own three levels and answer key.

Frequently asked questions

β–ΈWhat measurement skills are taught in Grade 5?

Converting metric units where the amounts carry decimals, converting to larger units so the answer becomes a decimal, and comparing or ordering measurements written in different units. The conversion sheets cover the first two and Ordering Measurements covers the third.

β–ΈHow do you convert 2.5 m to centimeters?

There are 100 cm in a meter, so multiply by 100 β€” or move the decimal point two places right β€” giving 250 cm. The first level of Length Units, Mass and Capacity drills exactly that.

β–ΈHow do you order measurements written in different units?

Rewrite every measurement in the same unit first, then rank them. For 1200 mm, 90 cm and 1.5 m, converting to millimeters gives 1200, 900 and 1500, so the order is 90 cm, 1200 mm, 1.5 m. That is the Ordering Measurements sheet, which ranks three measurements at its first level and four at its third.

β–ΈDo the answers involve long decimals?

No. Every question is built so the answer is either a whole number or has a single decimal place, which keeps the focus on place value and unit choice rather than on messy arithmetic.
