Grade 3 Multiplication Worksheets — Custom Printable PDF
Grade 3 is the multiplication year: fact fluency to 10 × 10 is the headline goal in almost every curriculum. This generator gives you unlimited practice sheets across five Grade 3 skills, each on its own page with its own three levels: Short Multiplication, Repeated Addition, Equal Groups and Arrays, Multiplying by Tens and Hundreds, and Missing Factor. Bare fact recall lives on the Times Tables pages; these sheets put the facts to work. Every sheet is different unless you want it identical: the link reproduces the exact same problems every time.

Each one generates a different kind of question, with its own three levels and answer key.
- Short MultiplicationMultiply a 2- or 3-digit number by a single digit, one column at a time.
- Repeated AdditionAdd equal groups, then write the same thing as a multiplication.
- Equal Groups and ArraysMultiplication in words: equal groups, rows and columns, and the number sentence.
- Multiplying by Tens and HundredsStretch a fact you already know: 6 × 4 tells you 6 × 40 and 60 × 40.
- Missing FactorThe product is given and one factor is blank — multiplication read backwards.
What each level generates
Grade 3 short multiplication — the exact skill behind each difficulty setting, straight from the generator.
- Level 1No carrying
- Level 2With carrying
- Level 3Split into tens and ones
Grade levels follow the progression common to most English-language curricula — not one specific national curriculum. Every level shows exactly what it generates, so you can check the fit with your own program. See the full scope & sequence →
The Grade 3 fluency goal
By the end of Grade 3, students are typically expected to know all products of two one-digit numbers from memory. That takes distributed practice — a few minutes daily — rather than marathon drills.
A good rhythm: 20 mixed-fact problems each morning from the Times Tables generator. When a sheet comes back error-free in under five minutes, add Short Multiplication twice a week — its first two levels, No carrying and With carrying, are a 2-digit number times a single digit, and Split into tens and ones writes the partition out for the child.
Spotting and fixing fact gaps
Watch which problems get skipped or counted on fingers — usually ×6, ×7, ×8. Use Shuffle to produce fresh sheets and keep a tally of misses by table.
When one table is the culprit, switch to the Times Tables worksheet for that number for a week, then return to Short Multiplication here.
Frequently asked questions
▸What multiplication should a Grade 3 student know?
Fluency with all facts up to 10 × 10 by year-end, plus multiplying one-digit numbers by multiples of 10. The recall half belongs on the Times Tables pages; Multiplying by Tens and Hundreds covers the second half, and its Times a multiple of 10 level is exactly a one-digit number by 20 to 90.
▸How do I make a multiplication worksheet with an answer key?
Tick the Answer key box before downloading. The key prints on a separate final page with numbered answers, so you can keep it while your student works.
▸Are these worksheets aligned to a curriculum?
The skills follow the common progression (equal groups and repeated addition, then short multiplication, then scaling by tens) used by most English-language curricula, and each skill's three levels step through it in turn, so they slot alongside whatever program you use.
▸Can I get different problems with the same settings?
Yes — press Shuffle. Same grade, skill, level and count, brand-new problems. Each shuffle gets its own shareable link.
▸What paper size do these print on?
Choose A4 or US Letter in the controls; the preview and the PDF both reflow to the exact paper you pick.
