What each level generates

Grade 4 ordering fractions — the exact skill behind each difficulty setting, straight from the generator.

  1. Level 1Same denominator
  2. Level 2Different denominators
  3. Level 3Order around one half

Grade levels follow the progression common to most English-language curricula — not one specific national curriculum. Every level shows exactly what it generates, so you can check the fit with your own program. See the full scope & sequence →

Frequently asked questions

▸What fraction skills are expected in Grade 4?

Generating and recognising equivalent fractions, comparing fractions with different numerators and denominators, and adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator. The Equivalent Fractions, Comparing Fractions, Adding Like Fractions and Subtracting Like Fractions sheets here cover that ground.

▸Do the addition problems ever mix denominators?

Only at one level. Adding Like Fractions and Subtracting Like Fractions keep denominators matched, the standard Grade 4 expectation, and so do the first two levels of Adding Mixed Numbers; its top level, Regroup past the whole, adds mixed numbers with different denominators. Unlike-denominator arithmetic otherwise arrives in Grade 5, after equivalence is solid, and gets its own sheets there.

▸Can a whole class use the same worksheet?

Yes. Share the link and every student gets the identical problems, so one printed answer key checks the entire set. Shuffle first if you want a different version per group.

▸What paper sizes are supported?

A4 and US Letter — pick either in the controls and both the on-screen preview and the downloaded PDF reflow to match exactly.

▸Is there a font option for students who struggle with dense pages?

Yes. Switch on the easy-read font and choose a larger size; fewer problems fit per page, but spacing and letterforms get noticeably friendlier for students who lose their place.
