Grade 7 Β· 2 pages Β· A4What each level generates
Grade 7 mixed operations β the exact skill behind each difficulty setting, straight from the generator.
- Level 1Two operations
- Level 2Brackets first
- Level 3Three operations in a row
Grade levels follow the progression common to most English-language curricula β not one specific national curriculum. Every level shows exactly what it generates, so you can check the fit with your own program. See the full scope & sequence β
More Grade 7 integers skills
Each one generates a different kind of question, with its own three levels and answer key.
- Multiplying IntegersMultiply signed numbers and decide whether the answer is positive or negative.
- Dividing IntegersDivide signed numbers. Every answer is a whole number.
- Adding IntegersAdd positive and negative numbers, including three-number sums.
- Subtracting IntegersTake one integer from another, including subtracting a negative.
- Find the Missing IntegerFill the blank that makes each statement true, using inverse operations.
- Integer Word ProblemsTemperature, depth and balance stories where the sign carries the meaning.
Frequently asked questions
βΈWhat integer skills are expected in Grade 7?
All four operations with integers: adding and subtracting fluently, then multiplying and dividing signed numbers and applying those rules in expressions and word contexts. Grade 7 is usually where multiplication and division of negatives are formally taught.
βΈWhy is a negative times a negative positive?
Because it keeps arithmetic consistent. Multiplying by a negative reverses direction on the number line, so reversing twice β negative times negative β points back to positive. (-3) x (-4) = 12.
βΈHow do I combine operations on one worksheet?
Choose the Mixed Operations sub-skill. Each problem mixes multiplying or dividing with adding or subtracting (Level 2 works out a bracket first), so your student has to move between operations in a single line rather than repeating one procedure. Multiplying Integers and Dividing Integers stay available for pure single-operation practice.
βΈCan I use the same sheet for a class re-test?
Yes. The page link reproduces the identical worksheet and answer key, so you can hand the same problems to a whole class or re-test one student weeks later and compare results fairly.
βΈWhat size should a Grade 7 integer worksheet be?
Around 15 to 20 mixed problems suits most students β long enough to hit every case, short enough to stay accurate. Use the stepper to match your session, and Shuffle for a fresh set tomorrow.
