What each level generates

Grade 7 integer word problems — the exact skill behind each difficulty setting, straight from the generator.

  1. Level 1One rise or fall
  2. Level 2Difference between two levels
  3. Level 3A change repeated

Grade levels follow the progression common to most English-language curricula — not one specific national curriculum. Every level shows exactly what it generates, so you can check the fit with your own program. See the full scope & sequence →

Each one generates a different kind of question, with its own three levels and answer key.

Frequently asked questions

▸What integer skills are expected in Grade 7?

All four operations with integers: adding and subtracting fluently, then multiplying and dividing signed numbers and applying those rules in expressions and word contexts. Grade 7 is usually where multiplication and division of negatives are formally taught.

▸Why is a negative times a negative positive?

Because it keeps arithmetic consistent. Multiplying by a negative reverses direction on the number line, so reversing twice — negative times negative — points back to positive. (-3) x (-4) = 12.

▸How do I combine operations on one worksheet?

Choose the Mixed Operations sub-skill. Each problem mixes multiplying or dividing with adding or subtracting (Level 2 works out a bracket first), so your student has to move between operations in a single line rather than repeating one procedure. Multiplying Integers and Dividing Integers stay available for pure single-operation practice.

▸Can I use the same sheet for a class re-test?

Yes. The page link reproduces the identical worksheet and answer key, so you can hand the same problems to a whole class or re-test one student weeks later and compare results fairly.

▸What size should a Grade 7 integer worksheet be?

Around 15 to 20 mixed problems suits most students — long enough to hit every case, short enough to stay accurate. Use the stepper to match your session, and Shuffle for a fresh set tomorrow.
