What each level generates

Grade 4 3d solids β€” the exact skill behind each difficulty setting, straight from the generator.

  1. Level 1Faces, edges and corners
  2. Level 2Name the solid
  3. Level 3Prisms and pyramids

Grade levels follow the progression common to most English-language curricula β€” not one specific national curriculum. Every level shows exactly what it generates, so you can check the fit with your own program. See the full scope & sequence β†’

Each one generates a different kind of question, with its own three levels and answer key.

Frequently asked questions

β–ΈWhat is the difference between area and perimeter?

Perimeter is the total distance around the outside of a shape and is measured in units such as cm. Area is how much surface the shape covers and is measured in square units such as cmΒ². For a rectangle, perimeter is 2 Γ— (length + width) and area is length Γ— width.

β–ΈHow do you find the area of a rectangle in Grade 4?

Multiply the length by the width. A rectangle 8 cm long and 5 cm wide has an area of 8 Γ— 5 = 40 cmΒ². Area of Rectangles opens with small measurements so the focus stays on the idea, and its Larger measurements level raises them once the method is secure.

β–ΈWhat are acute, right and obtuse angles?

An acute angle is smaller than 90Β°, a right angle is exactly 90Β°, and an obtuse angle is between 90Β° and 180Β°. Naming Angles draws the angle and asks which kind it is β€” unnumbered at the first two levels, so the judgement is made against the 90Β° benchmark by eye, before a protractor is ever picked up.

β–ΈCan I print a Grade 4 geometry sheet without the answers?

Yes. Leave the answer key box unticked and the sheet prints as questions only. Tick it and the answers appear on their own page at the end, so you can hand out the questions and keep the key.
